I hate you. I hate the customers. I hate all the stupid new policies. I hate the bureauacracy. I hate working harder that I have to to compensate for stupid, lazy managers. And I hate how register people are always at fault. Never the stupid, asshole drunk customers that I want to kill. oh no.
I hate you. I want a new job.
Hate,
Your (formerly) smiling, helpful register person Mary

I'll be in town starting early tomorrow morning through Friday night/Saturday morning. Let's party! Call me!
The baseball game was really fun yesterday! Even if my companion was busy making passes, the Brewers totally won! Then there was a party at the Membership afterwards, in which I joined a band with Dan and this girl named Trista, and then probably told a bunch of people that I loved them.
By the way, it was a really bad idea for Nobody's Housewife to cover "Basement Rock." It was an even worse idea to include that on our cd.
I'm going to go pack for Point now.

Burned out. I just studied for my World Civ final that I have tomorrow, which I'm deathly afraid of at this point...not too mention the continuing insomnia phenomenon that plagues my life. I think I'm going to crash tonight.
5 days! 5 days! 5 days TOO MUCH! I know that I'm so close to being done and I shouldn't complain, but seriously, it's like now that I'm so close, time is stretching forever.
There's a cute rock n' roll boy on campus who's in a cool garagey, Goner-esque band, and I decided that he would be my soul mate in my parallel universe New Orleans life. We even wore our Goner T-shirts on the same day today! Wow.
TOP 10 REASONS WHY NEW ORLEANS IS NOT CONDUCIVE TO BIKE RIDING (AND THEREFORE SUCKS)
10. There are no bike lanes.
9. The roads are too crowded with vehicles at ALL TIMES OF THE DAY
8. The roads are way too small, with constant congestion and parked cars.
7. So one must resort to the sidewalk, which are way too narrow.
6. Stupid tropical palm trees also prevent safe sidewalk bike riding.
5. Hurricane damage, including completely uprooted cement blocks, makes for especially hazardous biking conditions.
4. There are no cross walks or anything of that sort, so near-death car/bike collisions are inevitable!
3. Large parts of the sidewalks are still cut off for construction, which forces you, the poor biker, out into the street to face the masses of sport cars and luxery vehicles that congest the Uptown neighborhood.
2. Besides the usual change in sidewalk texture, some parts of the sidewalk are SAND and other variations of NOT CEMENT. One must dismount and walk across because with all things considered, it's just too dangerous...AND...
1. THERE'S NO SIDEWALK ON RAMPS OR OFF RAMPS. Of all things commonsense! When going from one block to the next, one must jump off the sidewalk, sustaining impact, then must jump over a ledge back ON to the sidewalk! How ridiculous is that?! Especially when I'M biking along, just trying to get to the stupid pharmacy that's 35 blocks from campus and the buses are dumb and the street car aren't working and it's a nice day, and I'm jumping up and down from one block to the next, when all of a sudden, MY TIRE COMPLETELY BLOWS. And the RIM IS BENT. And I had to walk a remaining 20 blocks to get there, then walk myself and my poor bike (that survived even the hurricane locked outside!) the 35 blocks back under the humid, mid-afternoon sun.
Thanks New Orleans. You suck. 5 days! 3 finals to go!

I've been WAY happier than usual these past couple days.
But that doesn't change the fact that I really don't want 3 stupid final projects standing in the way of me going home.
I wish I was playing Trivia.

"As of this writing, Watkins has imported two Bengal tigers to inhabit the new caged run along his driveway. "Everyone is holding their breath while we wait to find out what's going to be next," says Guenin. "We have reached the ultimate in ridiculousness." Hunter S. Thompson, meanwhile, is talking about getting some elephants."
I have not laughed at a book so hard in a long time. "Kingdom of Fear" by Hunter S. Thompson is truly a wonderful book. Highly recommended!!
I went to start gathering the stupid 8 signatures I need to get to withdraw from the University, and I found out that I ALSO have to get them signed in the correct order!! How excited I was to hear that.
I've been secluding myself into a world of reading books. listening to music, and writing. It feels like I'm slowly losing my ability to exercise human interaction skills. trivial.
1 month from today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Running in circles

bored
I decided not to go on the music industry trip this weekend--there was too many people going anyway, and I have to catch up on some homework. I was supposed to watch movies with people last night, but they never called telling me where they were at, so I went and did my laundry. I got to read a lot which I've been meaning to do more of lately. I came back to my room and made mix tape track lists, listened to music, and packed.
This morning I woke up to a phone call from Adam. Then I made some coffee, ate some pop tarts, and watched Saturday Morning Cartoons for the first time in years. Today, I do homework.

Ok, so everyonce in a while I like to test my will, bassically to proove to myself that I own my ass and that my ass is not owned by booze, or sleep or work or in this case caffine... I went over 7 days without caffine, but today I cracked, I am a addict, is there some support group for caffine addicts I could go to??? I hate being owned...

music: The Unlovables
1.) The show yesterday was very cool. There was way too many people there that I knew! Which of course was the fun part. Good bands, bad bands, cool people, drama...it all comes together to be a good night.
2.) Mikey Erg knew a lot about my personal life which is really weird considering he's a drummer of one of my favorite bands ever and lives in New Jersey and I've met him once before. But he rules!
3.) I was pretty irratible today. In French class, it hit me how stupid the exercise we were doing was, and wondering why I was even trying. And then got frustrated. Then class ended early so I bolted.
4.) I miss regular female interaction. Like yesterday, running through the list of the thousands of people I talked to, 4 of them were girls. Most of those conversations were very brief. I like all the males I talk to of course, but I miss regular female conversation, and having actual friends.
5.) Nobody's Housewife is playing a show on Friday! Info:
LEGHOUNDS
MODERN MACHINES
SOME OTHER BAND
NOBODY'S HOUSEWIFE
MISSION COFFEEHOUSE
STEVENS POINT
Yep, it's pretty much going to rule, and I'll actually be in town overnight, so please come out!
Ps--my unlovables cd is skipping already. I only took it from it's case and put it into my cd player. I miss vinyl.

But I ended up going to Texas instead of Chicago. I didn't know any contact info for my relatives in Texas, but my brother called as I was walking out the door to go to Chicago, and told me to go to Texas. So here I am. But seriously, watch the weather channel. The hurricane is huge now, heading directly for New Orleans. If it's bad enough, I'll be flying back to Wisconsin in a few days because I have no idea how long classes will be cancelled. Evacuation became mandatory this morning though, so i'm glad i got out last night, even if I had to spend 19 hours in the greyhound. After the storm hits (tomorrow afternoon), my parents and I will decide whether or not I'll be coming home for a few weeks, or if I have to go back to N.O. for classes. All I've got is my travel bag, cell phone, and laptop. Give me a call. And hopefully, I'll see a lot of you soon!!
